This LA couple met in the industry and ended up both working at Netflix together. During the covid pandemic, they decided to plan a Joshua Tree elopement - just the two of them! The ceremony setting was inside the actual National Park of Joshua Tree, but they chose to do photos and get ready beforehand at their incredible airbnb, @desertwild_jt.

We started the morning off with hair and makeup for the bride and her bridal party in their adorable Solvang hotel. Jamie didn’t want to look overdone or someone other than herself. We did very natural airbrush makeup and gorgeous effortless waves - such a timeless look! The ceremony setting was hillside at Alisal Ranch.

Our bride April definitely had her challenges while planning her 2020 wedding in the midst of covid-19. Including a venue change just DAYS before the wedding due to expected fires in the area. Even through all of the ups and downs, she exuded love and grace to everyone around her.

When our bride Heather reached out while planning her elopement in Sequoia National Park, I was absolutely thrilled! The couple, who live in Florida, had this dreamy destination vision and it evolved so beautifully. As destination wedding videographers themselves, they had high expectations for their own video and wanted to share the intimate moments. Their video truly captures the romantic ceremony and the love they share.

The vibes were immaculate… she turned that backyard into a bohemian dream wedding ceremony! And yes, pampas grass EVERYWHERE, just the way we like it. ;)

For her hair, we had to keep with her boho vision, so we styled a fishtail braided half up, half down style. For makeup, we chose warm tones and neutrals for the eyes and kept the skin fresh and glowy with airbrush foundation.

For makeup, our bride chose to go with a romantic champagne, gold, bronze eye with natural airbrush foundation. Her hairstyle was just effortless - a brushed out beautiful wave. A balance somewhere in between boho and old Hollywood glam!

Their outdoor wedding venue, Saddlerock Ranch, even had a special guest during photos… the famous giraffe, Stanley! ;)

Bride Sara walks down the aisle barefoot and in the dreamiest boho Grace Loves Lace gown. You can just feel through her photos the intimacy and happiness everyone shares surrounded by the closest of friends and family. Seeing this beautiful day unfold could persuade anyone into a micro wedding!

What are COVID weddings/COVID elopements looking like these days? Well, actually pretty romantic and magical, I’d say!!! Santa Barbara has the most beautiful City Hall, with gorgeous grounds for photos! An absolutely beautiful spot for elopements, especially in the midst of COVID and smaller micro-weddings!

Working with this bride Claire was such a dream. She planned her destination wedding in LA from across the country, and even got hair and makeup ready in her parent’s Hancock Park home that she grew up in. Her venue, The Carondelet House is an incredible vintage, upscale, urban brick building and built in the 1920’s.

Her bridal hair and makeup look was one that perfectly pairs with a dreamy, beachy Laguna Beach setting! For makeup, we chose to do a dramatic bronze eyeshadow and lots of individual lashes so the eyes completely pop! I curled Amy’s hair in my signature beachy, brushed out style, then created a side updo with intricate pinning and twists! Amy had a gorgeous hair piece that we included, along with her veil.

The wardrobe for this wedding was particularly my FAVE. The mother of the bride’s wedding dress was transformed into the prettiest getting ready robe/gown I’ve ever seen! So much sentiment. For the ceremony, K wore a Grace Loves Lace gown, then changed to a jumpsuit for the reception, made by Amanda James Design. K’s hair was styled in a romantic twisted updo, with makeup very minimal and classic - something that will always be timeless!
