Wedding weekends often happen in destinations. Think Cabo, Carmel, Sedona, a family property in Montecito. And destinations mean variables. That Malibu cliffside rehearsal dinner has ocean breeze. The poolside brunch has direct sun. The evening reception is air-conditioned inside. Each of these affects how makeup holds, how hair behaves, and what looks will actually work across the full experience. We also think about the vibe shift. A welcome event is usually more casual. Softer looks, more approachable. The rehearsal might be slightly more polished. The ceremony is the moment. And some couples do a farewell brunch the next day where the vibe can be fun and relaxed again. Each one deserves its own energy, and we love working backward from that.
Modern, Elevated, and Incredibly Chic. We are obsessed with our brides and we are so honored to work with the coolest people who bring so much taste and fun energy to their weddings. Our bride Gabriela had an immaculate vision and this team of wedding vendors truly went to work on executing it to a T. Our hair and makeup team specializes in natural, modern, and elevated looks. Curating your signature look and embracing your natural beauty on your wedding day.
Katie's June wedding at The Beverly Hills Hotel featured vintage Hollywood waves and classic minimal makeup by Emily Lynn & Co., a Los Angeles bridal hair and makeup team.
Julia’s vision was romantic, natural, and timeless, and that is honestly our specialty around here. We created soft, brushed-together curls worn all-down for a look that was effortless but still had that wow factor. For makeup, we kept things classic and natural, enhancing Julia's gorgeous features with a flawless, radiant finish that felt like her but elevated. It was the definition of less is more and she looked absolutely stunning.
Our team provided the full bridal experience, starting with a trial run so Julia could see and feel everything ahead of time (which we always recommend!). The morning of, our team executed her hair and makeup plus stayed on-site for touch-ups to make sure she looked camera ready and flawless from ceremony through the last dance. Everything held beautifully and she was just glowing.
Hummingbird Nest Ranch is one of those venues that just takes your breath away the moment you pull up. Nestled in the Santa Susana Mountains just north of LA, this private estate feels like you've been transported to a European countryside while still being so close to the city. The property features a gorgeous Spanish Villa, shaded olive groves, sparkling fountains, sprawling lawns, and private vineyards, and there are so many stunning ceremony and reception spaces to choose from, including the Q Vineyard with its incredible mountain backdrop. It's an award-winning venue for good reason, and getting the bridal party ready on a property this beautiful honestly makes our job even more fun. The natural light, the romantic architecture, the sweeping mountain views... it all creates the most dreamy backdrop for celebration.
Santa Monica local, our bride Emma, planned a colorful andvibrant wedding celebration at the iconic Parker Palm Springs.
Natural Curls and Radiant Skin Forward Makeup Look for Bride at Serra Plaza in San Juan Capistrano. When Alya first reached out to us, she told us exactly what she wanted: to look like herself. Glowy skin, a soft winged liner, lots of blush, Mission Eastern features embraced, and her beautiful natural curls preserved and celebrated. Before she found our company, she had actually been through a tough trial experience where her makeup came out caked on and her curls were ironed out and hair sprayed into something that didn't feel like her at all. She was looking for a team that would actually listen and honor what made her feel beautiful. Literally our specialty!!
I had the pleasure of traveling into Oaxaca, Mexico from Los Angeles to be there and style hair and makeup for the bride and her bridal party/family for the wedding weekend. We did a bold eye makeup look, paired with a skin-forward natural airbrush foundation and glow. Hair was styled slicked back and snatched in a mid ponytail hairstyle. For the wedding day look, I created a similar makeup look. Minimal, chic, glowing skin with focus on the eyes. We waved her hair in a brushed together curl that really gave such a “wow” factor. The real treat of the hairstyle was individually placed pearls - organically added throughout the hair. A deep rooted tradition of Oaxaca weddings is the Calenda, a vibrant street parade with brass bands, fireworks, dancing, giant puppets, and of course mezcal.
The bride looked through Anna Sui’s archives and called out elements of her favorite dresses. After a few detailed sketches, they had created Isabelle’s wedding dress in French Chantilly lace. On the day-of, the bride got ready with Emily Lynn & Co. and accessorized with pearl Jimmy Choos to match her pearl engagement ring, her mother’s wedding necklace, and Edwardian diamond earrings. A Claire Pettibone veil and a flower crown.
A three-day Beverly Hills courthouse elopement that blended art, architecture and personal style. Through thick and thin, they worked together to make their wedding entirely their own, writing their own rules and expectations for how they wanted their nuptials to feel. Malika wore a long-sleeve lace Chanel gown with pearl belt accents and tulle veil for her formal courthouse look, later swapping for more casual looks like the tweed Chanel mini dress and Converse shoes she wore on Venice Beach, or the Clio Peppiat beaded mini dress, trailing veil and colorful bouquet that she wore beachside in Malibu. Wesley was timeless in a Ralph Lauren tuxedo for the ceremony, and more playful in a custom pair of Ralph Lauren tuxedo shorts and Vivo Barefoot sneakers, switching pocket squares and brooches to keep his look fresh.
“Planning a wedding involves a lot of shared creative output, so the most important thing is to work as a team. The shared flow can feel really great, and having each other’s support through the more tedious tasks is important. We put a lot of time and consideration into choosing the right theme for us, which helped us maintain our focus. Our planners, photographers, and baker weren’t just our vendors, they became part of our wedding team and became part of the collaborative and creative process.”
Held at Inn at Mission San Juan Capistrano, their dream of a fun-filled, Spanish-inspired garden-party wedding came to life. Homages to the couple’s love story began with their invitations, designed to resemble passports and boarding passes in the dark sage that would become a signature color for the wedding. As guests entered, they found reserved seating marked with playful ‘Reserved First Class’ signage. Friends and family found their way to the reception marked by the fun sign that read “The Party is Now Boarding.” The seating board was personalized luggage tags displayed on a cleverly named departure board, which guided everyone to their gates and terminals. The newlyweds enjoyed a private moment at their sweetheart table, or rather “The Cockpit.”
It was an honor when Riley, founder and CEO of The Yes Girls, reached out for her own dream day at Monserate Winery! She has created such a booming business orchestrating proposals and the most special moments in her couple’s lives. Now it was her turn to be celebrated! I created a makeup look that melded her mood board vision with her desire to look and feel like herself.
Getting ready side by side creates an intimate, relaxed start to the day, and many couples tell us it was one of their favorite memories from the entire experience. But what does getting ready for the wedding together look like as a couple? And is it starting to trend for same-sex weddings?
When a fine jewelry designer plans her own wedding, you just know every detail is going to be intentional and beautiful. Carter, the founder of Carter Eve Jewelry, and her husband, Federico, celebrated their love with a day that moved from a heartfelt ceremony at the Self-Realization Fellowship Temple in Hollywood to an absolutely dreamy reception at Casa di Pietra in Malibu. A complete DREAM. Casa di Pietra is one of Malibu's true hidden gems. This beachfront estate sits right on the Pacific with private beach access, sweeping ocean and mountain views, vaulted stone ceilings, and the most incredible rooftop terrace. It has this romantic Mediterranean energy that feels like you've been transported somewhere in the South of France, but you're actually right on PCH. The whole evening had this intimate, warm, magical feel to it.
Airbrush foundation aligns with my signature aesthetic. I specialize in glowy, dewy, flawless, natural-looking complexions. The kind of look where you still look like you, just the most radiant version of yourself. Airbrush is the easiest and most effective way for me to achieve that finish for every client — regardless of skin tone, skin type, or coverage preference.
It works across every skin tone and texture. One of the things I'm most passionate about is making sure every single client receives the same level of expert care.
Cierra got ready, looked in the mirror, and still felt like herself — just the most beautiful, glowing version. The whole day had this intimate, intentional energy to it. Moon Realm brought the vision together with such thoughtful planning and design, and Gentle Offerings created florals that felt like they were made for that space. Vanessa Jane Photography captured every moment with such an artistic eye — we are just obsessed with what she created.
“Music manager Haley Evans and songwriter Ilsey Juber were first introduced at a pre-Grammys party in Las Vegas on April 2, 2022. Beneath the sparkling backdrop of the Chandelier Lounge, the two share that there was an instant feeling that couldn’t be denied. “I called Ilsey my wife from that night on,” says Haley. A few days later, the pair met for a proper first date at Mother Wolf in Los Angeles, and their love story really began.” — Vogue
“Emily Lynn & Co has made hair and makeup a breeze. I loved that I could choose which stylist to work with from their talented team— it was honestly hard to pick with so many amazing options! They’ve been incredibly easy to work with, and what I love most about their approach is how they focus on making the bride look natural and radiant, without being too “overdone.” It’s the perfect balance of enhancing your beauty while staying true to your unique style.”
Malika & Wesley. These two flew in from Chicago to elope at the Beverly Hills courthouse, along with three days traveling all over Los Angeles County for candid snapshots of wedding week.
She knew she wanted us to create her dream bridal hair and makeup look and she wanted to feel special and elevated, but still feel like herself! Natural and effortless is our specialty around here, so I personally LOVE that kind of request. Everyone got hair and makeup done down the street from the wedding venue at The Ranch at Laguna Beach.
Providing bridal hair and makeup services for this destination wedding in Playa Del Carmen/Riviera Maya was one of the highlights of my year! I flew from Los Angeles to Cancun, Mexico then drove about an hour south to beautiful Riviera Maya. The entire wedding weekend of events were held at Banyan Tree Mayakoba. One of the most uniquely serene and breathtaking resorts and venues I’ve ever been to.
