Jeong-Hwa

Emmy nominated hair and makeup artist, Jeong-Hwa, brings more than two decades of film, television, and red carpet experience to Emily Lynn & Co. She is a Journeyman Make-Up Artist with I.A.T.S.E. Locals 706 and 798 and a member of the Television Academy. She has led makeup departments for Netflix, Apple, HBO, A24, Amazon, and Paramount.

On film, she was Make-Up Artist to Jean Smart in Damien Chazelle’s Babylon and Key Make-Up on Still Alice. She was Make-Up Designer on Beatriz at Dinner, where she did makeup for Salma Hayek, John Lithgow, and Chloë Sevigny. She has also worked on Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, West Side Story, Black Swan, Ocean’s Eight, and The Devil Wears Prada. In television, Sandra Oh requested her as Make-Up Designer and Department Head on Netflix’s The Chair. She also designed makeup for XO, Kitty and Apple’s Life by Ella, and was Key Make-Up on 30 Rock and Ugly Betty. Her TV credits include Succession, Mad Men, Gossip Girl, and The Oscars.

Over her career she has worked with Julianne Moore, Marisa Tomei, Kristen Stewart, Sydney Sweeney, Megan Fox, Debra Winger, America Ferrera, and many more.

Jeong-Hwa trained in Seoul, Milan, Berlin, and Hollywood, and earned her diploma from the Mephisto Make-Up Artistry Academy in Berlin. She began her career in opera, working at Berlin’s Komische Oper and at Lincoln Center in New York. She is skilled in beauty, glamour, and period makeup, as well as hair and wig styling, and speaks English, Korean, and German. At Emily Lynn & Co., she brings the same precision and camera-ready artistry to every bride she works with.
